Hawley Community Supports Building of New Middle School; Does Not Approve Second Referendum Question
Hawley, MN (November 9, 2022) - Hawley Public Schools will see big changes in the next couple of years, with the construction of a new 5-8 grade middle school building, however the community did not approve the second question on the ballot. “The bond referendum question approved by a majority of voters in the Nov. 8 election will make a big difference in the learning environment for our students,” noted Hawley Public Schools Superintendent Phil Jensen. Superintendent Phil Jensen will be providing information to community groups through the Nov. 8 referendum. Please contact Superintendent Jensen to request a presentation. The district is also hosting two community meetings to answer questions. All community members are encouraged and invited to attend!
